Say “Howdy!” to Ryan and Evan, a couple of Chicago brothers out and about. Ryan just graduated from dental school (Would you look at this tooth for me, please?) and is headed to advance training as an orthodontist. Evan, like many of us, is still trying to figure out what road to take as he […]
Folks We’ve Met
Meet Larry and Joan, our campground hosts at Lava Beds NM. We had a grand time swapping hosting stories with them. They must love LBNM, this is their THIRD year there. And the tour of duty is four months.
We meet Perry from Oregon who was with a group of 50 8th graders. He was the head chef and had a spectacular setup to feed the thunder horde.
Dave and Steve were part of a family group that gets together once a year – if we remember right. Robert got the tape recorder out to start recording people’s names.
Julie and friend stopped by to chat about the All Terrain Camper. She, her husband, and furry friend were traveling in a pop-up tent trailer.
We met Steve and Buddy in a Fallon RV park. Steve, a full-time RV’er with a big rig, was curious about the ATC and stopped by with Buddy to ask some questions. Steve wanted to say: “Go Red Devils!” He loves his hockey! Enjoyed chatting with you, Steve!
Meet Gordon and Cinder from the San Juan’s in Washington state. We saw them again in Capital Reef.
Steve and Janet are from St. George, Utah. Steve, a Vietnam vet and retired fire Captain. Janet had the harder job of raising three (did we get that right?) children – two of them firefighters! We enjoyed an evening around the campfire swapping tales and solving the worlds problems.
On our way to Merrimack, Vietnam vet and retired long haul driver, Smoothy (nobody knows him by his real name), found the All Terrain Camper to be what he wanted. When asked about big-rig drivers today, he said the problem is that companies hire inexperienced young people who think they’re race car drivers. He and […]
Say “Howdy!” to Janelle, our waitperson at Inn on the Blues in York Beach, Maine. We took a side trip to Maine just because neither one of us (sounds like a song title…) had ever been there. Plus, the call of lobster fattened (literally) the pot (Oh, my, aren’t we punny!). Janelle lived in California […]
